I just wanted to let you know that I check the blog everyday day for updates and felt compelled to leave a message today. I just wanted to let you know I admire your strength and pray for you and your beautiful family every day. I know you have many many offers for help but if you ever think your kids would like to play with my crazy kids I’d love to arrange it! After all, we’re just up the road:)

Hello to all readers. This is Betsy Ray, a friend of Jani, Jitka and the children. Just a note to let everyone know that I made a contribution to the Trust Fund at the Arlington Rd. branch of RBC Centura with no problem. There is a gentleman there named Scott Woodlief who was very helpful. He said that if anyone would like to make a contribution at that branch, that he would be happy to help.
We read the blog every day and would like to express our appreciation to Kal and Jani for being so forthright. Your words are so raw, emotional and powerful. I remember a song that had the line it “Love will build a bridge”. You are building a bridge for Jitka. She has begun to cross it.
We are so proud of her!!!

We really miss you and know that you will work really hard to come back and finish your career at ECU. The place is not the same without another woman around. Take care and know you have the whole Physiology Department pulling for a speedy recovery.
